Postpartum care includes home visits on the first and third days after the birth and phone consultations as needed until a final check up at six weeks postpartum. Your midwife is on-call for you during this period and will provide more visits when necessary.

Women need and deserve extra care while their bodies and minds go through major changes such as physical healing, learning to breastfeed, bonding with their baby, hormonal changes, dealing with new emotions, adjusting to relationships and learning new skills.
