Services
- Prenatal Care Complete prenatal care services
throughout your pregnancy. Prenatal care visits occur every 4 weeks
up to 28 weeks, every 2 weeks from 28-36 weeks and then once a week
until your baby’s birth.
- Labor & Delivery We have years (and hundreds
of babies) of experience in offering complete home and/or water birth
labor and delivery services.
- Newborn Care Thorough head-to-toe exam.
Weight, measurements and reflexes are checked. Vitamin K and antibiotic
eye ointment administered by request. We also offer breastfeeding and
baby care advice from swaddling to changing. PKU screening tests performed
expertly and lovingly with parent’s request.
- Postpartum Care Postpartum care includes
home visits on the first and third days after the birth and phone consultations
as needed until a final check up at six weeks postpartum. Midwife is
on call for you throughout this period.
- Lactation Consulting We provide home
visits and phone consultations to new mothers who may be experiencing
challenges with latch on, engorgement, sore nipples, plugged ducts,
mastitis or low milk supply and offer the support needed to foster success
for the breastfeeding family.
- Childbirth Classes Not just for homebirth
couples but for those planning hospital births as well. We discuss everything
from the proper nutrition for a healthy pregnancy to trust in birth,
risk and benefits of pain medication in childbirth, birth plans, understanding
and coping with labor, the postpartum period and much more.
