We are often asked how our team of midwives works at San Diego Midwife.
To be able to best serve you and to have a sustainable lifestyle from being on call 24/7, we work as a team of midwives at San Diego Midwife. You will get to know your midwives very well at each appointment but we do not assign midwives per birth or individual. You are always guaranteed one midwife and one birth assistant at your birth although we love to attend births all together as a whole team as often as we can!

Madison Blades is a dedicated student midwife at the Midwives College of Utah, passionately pursuing her dream of supporting expectant parents through the miraculous journey of childbirth. Alongside her academic endeavors, Madison is a compassionate full-spectrum doula, providing unwavering support to individuals and families during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experiences.
Beyond her professional commitments, Madison is a loving mom to a special needs daughter, who brings a wealth of personal understanding to her work. Her own experiences as a parent enhance her ability to connect with and empathize with the unique needs of those under her care.
